Glance Pentagon Chevrolet Volt Electric Cars

The U.S. military seems to want to get rid of the bad image. To this end, the Pentagon is now trying to be eco-friendly institution by requesting thousands of electric cars.

The Pentagon currently plans to buy a Chevrolet Volt 1500 environmentally friendly as part of a military effort to create more environmentally friendly. Even so, and ridiculed for that due to the previous government bailout of General Motors Corp. before the presidential election, it is very likely that this will be the new controversy.

Fox News reports will soon start buying Chevrolet Volt in the summer. First new cars delivered to the air station for the Navy in California, while we will send 18 others Chevrolet Volt Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

President Obama himself has pledged in the past to buy a Chevrolet Volt car and drive it himself when he is no longer president. Now he can not lead his own car, because it is strictly forbidden by the presidential security forces.

White House itself before buying 100 volts in 2011 is set to various agencies.

However, out of enthusiasm for the Government of the United States, sales of the Chevrolet Volt show its not very exciting though it was given a subsidy of up to $ 7,500. In the last month there were only 2831 Chevrolet Volt sold.
